Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: May 28, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of the personal data Ardealy stores about you, including data collected when you connect a social media account (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Business Profile) to the Ardealy Social Planner.
We take your privacy seriously. You can request deletion of your data at any time, and we will process your request within 30 days in accordance with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws.
1. What Data We Store
When you use Ardealy and connect social accounts, we may store:
- Account information: Your name, email address, company name, and login credentials.
- OAuth tokens: Encrypted access and refresh tokens for the social platforms you have connected.
- Social profile data: Public profile name, profile picture, page/account IDs, and basic page metadata for platforms you have authorized.
- Content you create: Scheduled posts, drafts, captions, media files (images and videos) you have uploaded, and posting history.
- Analytics data: Post performance metrics (impressions, reach, engagement) retrieved from connected platforms.
- Visualization data: Room images and product visualizations generated through our AI tools.
- Usage data: Logs, device information, and analytics related to your use of the platform.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
You have two options to request deletion of your data:
Option A — Delete from your account settings (recommended)
- Log in to your Ardealy account at app.ardealy.com.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- To disconnect a single social account, open Settings → Integrations, select the platform, and click Disconnect. We immediately revoke the OAuth tokens and delete the cached profile data for that integration.
- To delete your entire Ardealy account and all associated data, click Delete my account at the bottom of Settings → Account and confirm.
Option B — Email request
If you no longer have access to your account, or prefer to submit a written request, send an email to hello@ardealy.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include:
- The email address associated with your Ardealy account.
- The name of your company or workspace (if applicable).
- The specific data you want deleted (e.g., “all my data”, “only my connected Facebook account”, “only my uploaded media”).
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request, in order to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.
Response time: We acknowledge requests within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
3. What Happens When You Delete Your Data
Once we process your deletion request:
- Your OAuth tokens are immediately revoked, and we notify each connected platform to invalidate them.
- Your profile, scheduled posts, drafts, media uploads, analytics history, and AI-generated visualizations are permanently deleted from our production systems.
- Encrypted backups are purged within 30 days as part of our backup retention cycle.
- Logs that may contain references to your account are anonymized.
Posts already published to your social media accounts before deletion remain on those platforms — we do not control content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, or Google. To remove published posts, you must delete them directly from each platform.
4. Revoking Access from the Platform Side
In addition to deleting your Ardealy data, you can revoke Ardealy’s access to your social accounts directly from each platform’s settings:
- Facebook / Instagram: facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations
- LinkedIn: linkedin.com/psettings/permitted-services
- X (Twitter): x.com/settings/connected_apps
- TikTok: Settings → Security and login → Manage app permissions
- Pinterest: Settings → Apps
- YouTube / Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
Revoking access from the platform side stops Ardealy from making future requests to that platform, but it does not delete the data we have already stored. To remove the stored data, also follow Option A or Option B above.
5. Data We May Retain
Some data may be retained after deletion for legal or operational reasons, including:
- Invoices and transaction records required by tax and accounting law (typically 7–10 years).
- Records necessary to comply with a legal hold or active dispute.
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot be linked back to you.
Retained data is stored under restricted access and is not used for any purpose other than meeting these obligations.
6. Contact
